At CFF, we believe that equitable access to a free, high-quality public education is a human right.
Our grantmaking and programmatic support extend to nearly all of West Contra Costa’s district and charter campuses. We maintain a special emphasis on those schools in our district that have chronically underperformed for low-income students, students of color, and others with barriers to accessing to high-quality classrooms.
The Chamberlin Family Foundation supports best-practices shown to strengthen teaching and learning, and organizations that work to increase teacher impact, promote student success, and encourage excellence in West Contra Costa public schools. Foundation priorities include:
- Encouraging the use of research-backed best practices in education
- Supporting ambitious, results-oriented principals and instructional leaders
- Leveraging data to inform decision-making that benefits student growth
- Working in partnership with schools and community leaders to promote sustainable success
