WHAT’S A GRATITUDE GRANT?
Each year, the Chamberlin Family Foundation offers Gratitude Grants for West Contra Costa teachers to fund classroom supplies and resources (e.g. books, materials, and software) or professional development. Each teacher grant can total up to $250. Gratitude Grants will be distributed as American Express gift cards which can be used to purchase the items described in the teacher’s application.
Applications Open: Monday, January 28, 2019
Deadline to apply: tuesday, February 26, 2019
Gratitude Grant applications will be processed on a rolling-basis and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Teachers: get your applications in today!
IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR APPLICANTS
You must be a currently employed, full-time West Contra Costa public school classroom teacher in grades TK-12 to be eligible to apply for a Gratitude Grant. Only one application per teacher can be granted each year.
Eligible teachers must complete the Google form above to begin the application process. Applicants must use an authorized school email address to apply. The application has two sections. We recommend applicants save any lengthy responses on a separate Word document as a backup to avoid losing responses due to any disruptions midway through the application.
Applicants will receive a confirmation at the email address provided upon submission of the grant application form. We will be reviewing applications on an on-going basis; if you don’t hear a decision from us within 1-2 weeks of submitting your application, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
January 28 – Grant Applications Open
February 26 – Grant Applications Deadline
March 8 – Final notifications sent to Teachers and Principals
April 2019 – Grants awarded and delivered to teachers and/or schools
